Dear Patient

This is to let you know about the Patient Participation Group – These are the important items we have discussed: NHS Choices Website, GP Practice Survey (MORI) & Friends and Family Test.

  • Did Not Attend Surgery Appointments, we have a large number of people not attending every month.
  • Impact of the new build in Selly Oak on our Surgery.
  • Family and Friends - 2 Replies and all would extremely likely recommend the Surgery.

 

We have 7 members, should you wish to be contacted by a member of our Patient Participation Group please email us.

We had offered information meetings about Alzheimer’s and Health on our website and in our reception. No responses were received, maybe later in the year we will offer this service again.

You can now access your medical records online. To do this we need the following:

Picture ID and a Bank Statement.

Flu Clinics now available for 2018/2019, for further details, please contact any member of the reception team.

Over the Christmas & New Year period we are open Monday to Friday with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

NHS charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

  • Prescription (per item): £9.00
  • 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £104.00
  • 3-month PPC: £29.10

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
