Dear Patient

This is to let you know about the Patient Participation Group – These are the important items we have discussed: NHS Choices Website, GP Practice Survey (MORI) & Friends and Family Test.

  • Did Not Attend Surgery Appointments, we have a large number of people not attending every month.
  • Impact of the new build in Selly Oak on our Surgery.
  • Family and Friends - 2 Replies and all would extremely likely recommend the Surgery.

 

We have 7 members, should you wish to be contacted by a member of our Patient Participation Group please email us.

We had offered information meetings about Alzheimer’s and Health on our website and in our reception. No responses were received, maybe later in the year we will offer this service again.

You can now access your medical records online. To do this we need the following:

Picture ID and a Bank Statement.

Flu Clinics now available for 2018/2019, for further details, please contact any member of the reception team.

Over the Christmas & New Year period we are open Monday to Friday with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Publication of GP Earnings

All GP Practices are required to declare mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in the practice of Selly Oak Health Centre in the last financial year was £42,789 before tax and National Insurance.

This is for 2 full time GPs, 2 part time GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Named GP.

"All patients at our practice are allocated a named GP and your named GP is responsible for the co-ordination of your care. Our patients have a named GP because it offers continuity for patients but you are free to see alternative GPs of your choice if you desire. From time to time we might offer an appointment with an alternative GP if we feel that their speciality is tailored towards your needs at the time.
If you are unsure who your allocated GP is, please don’t hesitate to contact the surgery. You may also change your named GP if you require."
